Fiction Loom is a collection of tools and utilities designed for the modern creative—people who build, experiment, and shape ideas into something real.
I didn’t grow up with computers. My early years were spent outdoors—woods, streams, and a very different kind of exploration. So even now, being able to sit down and create software, sometimes in collaboration with intelligent systems, still feels a little like science fiction. But it isn’t fiction. It’s work. Real work.
The “loom” comes from both metaphor and experience. Before my career in software and photography, I worked with woven materials, where structure, tension, and pattern all mattered. In many ways, building software feels the same. You’re bringing together threads—ideas, logic, and experience—and shaping them into systems that hold together and serve a purpose.
Fiction Loom exists to create tools for people who think this way. Tools that are intentional, reliable, and designed to support the creative process without getting in the way. Nothing is added for the sake of noise. Everything exists to help you move from idea to working system with clarity and focus.
Developed by Martin Bailey and operated under Martin Bailey Photography K.K., Fiction Loom is an evolving body of work—tools designed to help modern creatives turn ideas into something tangible, reliable, with a deep respect for building things well.
Sincerely,
Martin Bailey
